i ordered a perfect dress on line but when it arrived it was about 5 sizes too big. Sew fresh was able to virtually remake dress it came out lovely they charged a very reasonable price and completed it within a week. their work is excellent i am thrilled to have found them

This is the tailoring shop that you should consider going to in boulder county. Sew Fresh Shop is run by Niwot local shop owners for several years. The shop has a keen eye for design. My 2 maxi dresses were turned around in time for a wedding and with clear communication. Quick and the price point is reasonable!

Tip: bring the shoe(s) you want to wear if hemming / altering / clothing adjustments.

There’s definitely some informality that can be unsettling at first, but I’ve gone far too many times with impeccable results for that to bother me anymore. The shop owner is reliable, expedient, and so so cheap compared to anywhere else I’ve gone before. I won’t go anywhere else.

I’m crying as I write this review.

22 minutes ago, I walked in this shop with two items for alterations. When I started talked to this man (pictured below) on what brought me in, he said “tell me, hurry!” I asked him if this was a good time or should I come later. His response was rude and disrespectful. He said things like, “put them there. Do you want me to do it?” Etc

He later told me that the work I want him to do, is something I can do myself at home and that I should do it to save myself some money. Otherwise, I will pay $70 or $80.

Multiple times, he asked “do you want me to do it! Or you want to take these clothes home for you to do it!”

If I could have done it at home, I would not have drove 20 minutes to go see him.

As I walked out with my items feeling hurt and heartbroken, he followed me to shut the door and then I took this photo.

His treatment of me is wrong. As a black woman, I hope I am the last person he get to treat this way.

I am not going back. Sadly, I have to see his shop every time I drive or run by his shop.

I came here after asking for recommendations online. I am a resident of Niwot and wanted to support a local business. Unfortunately, I won’t be back, nor can I recommend this shop to others.

I went in to have a dress altered for a wedding. The initial consult was very rushed and abrupt. The alteration didn’t turn out well and when I asked for a certain fix, I was told it couldn’t be done and that the obviously misfit dress was “fine”.

I checked with a long distance friend who is a sewist to see if my expectations were out of line and was told that the correct alteration was definitely possible and not that difficult. Sadly, my timeline was too short and I didn’t have time to find somewhere else to fix it and had to find a new outfit to wear.

I now have a dress that cost hundreds of dollars that I purchased for a specific event sitting in my closet that I never wore and likely won’t ever wear, but also can’t sell because it’s been altered.

I had a very odd experience at this business. I brought in some window coverings to be resown. The man who runs the business was at a distance when I arrived. He told me to put the items on the table. When I asked him to come over so I could show him the problem, at first he did not want to. But he finally did. And then he said to me, "You can do this at home". I told him while it looked simple, I was not handy. He said "You don't need to be handy" Then he agreed to do it but refused to give me a slip to document I left the window coverings with him. He said "You don't need that". He told me to come back in a week. I did take his business card. I was somewhat concerned; but left.
When I got home I read the google review from a woman who had been there 2 months ago and it was striking that he said the same words to her regarding her request for alterations. He was rude to her in the same way he was to me. Then I began to be very concerned about my window coverings that I left with him.
I returned the next morning with my husband to retrieve my belongings. There were several people there. This time he smiled at me. I told him I would take care of it myself and he gave me the window coverings back.
The woman who left the last review thought he may have been racist because she is a black woman. I am a white woman so perhaps his issue is different. Frankly I believe he has mental health challenges.

Bad bad bad, I got some jeans redone there and it was awful. Told me to come back in a week to get them and I did and the jeans were in the same spot as I had left them. I went back to get them again and he still hadn't done them. Finally I got them and he charged me 20$ and he sewed my jeans the wrong color back. Do not go here.

Nora and Judy were incredible! The wedding store ordered my dress in the wrong size and Nora and Judy fit me into their busy schedule so that it was ready for my wedding. They literally rebuilt the dress, and it was stunning! They were a pleasure to work with and are amazing at what they do. I wouldn't go anywhere else! They even came in the weekend of the flood in order to finish it and get it to me. I got married the weekend after the flood.
