I absolutely love Maria's Tailor Shop. I had my wedding dress altered here and it turned out exactly how I wanted it! Everyone here is professional and they do amazing work. I came in several times to make sure it was fitting correctly and they were able to make changes without any issues. It also helped that I brought my dress to them several months in advance so that there was plenty of time to complete all alterations.

They did a great job hemming my son’s suit pants for the homecoming dance. They even did a RUSH job to have it ready in two days. Worth every penny. I highly recommend them! Super friendly, too!

I tried to come here for wedding dress alterations. I missed on the website that you need an appointment for bridal gowns. I was happy to make one after finding this out, but I was met with unfriendly service from the moment I walked in. The woman I spoke with made me feel very unwelcome, was very cold, and made me feel like a nuisance. Some staff were friendly, but overall disappointed in the customer service.

If I could put zero stars I would, I walked in and waited to be helped then was told they close in 30 minutes when all I wanted was alterations on my scrubs. I didn’t know it took longer than 30 minutes to take measurements when I’ve had people do it in less than 5 minutes. I understand it was close to closing but at the end of the day it was urgent and I was made to look dumb for even asking for help which I truly thinks make any business not worth going to because nobody deserves to feel that way when they are asking for help and look and feel their best in their clothes. It was the girl with super short hair in all of the pictures mainly the one in front of the jeep, if you see her steer clear.
Edit after reply, in what world would I imagine alterations be done that quick and instead of getting me out so quick why wouldn’t you even try to help whatsoever? You blew me off and treated me like a waste of time instead of even trying to explain that or continue any conversation with me? Seriously it makes no sense you trying to defend any of this when you told me you couldn’t help me with no explanation. I’m sorry you didn’t understand and have poor communication with your clients.

I took my wedding dress here to be hemmed. When I got it back the bag was full of dirt and dog hair. My dress smelled like fake pumpkin spice fragrance. The whole place has a strong scent when you walk in. There was a dog walking around when I picked it up so I’m not sure how often the pup is hanging out. The place is dirty and over priced. I would not recommend. I had to take it back to the place I purchased it to have it washed. It was gross and so stressful to have my wedding dress returned it such condition.

Would not recommend. Steer clear of this businesss. They basically charged me $100 to hem a dress and to sew a wonky stitch over the zipper. There is so many unraveling appliqués on the dress and they took 3 weeks. I literally could have done this myself.

Alterations by Maria's Tailor Shop provides a terrific tailor service! The employees are courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The prices are fair, and they have always provided quality service. The shop is located in a strip of 6 stores within the Rampart Village Center (NE corner of intersection of Union Blvd and Briargate Blvd). Look for the sign with "Alterations". The store is between a jeweler and a donut shop. I would recommend this tailor to my family, friends, and even people I don't know.
