My fiancé needed a pair of dress pants hemmed and I called asking if they had same-day availability, which they did! We went over and we both agree that this place is such a gem! The owners, husband & wife, were absolutely lovely. I do wish we caught their names, but we'll certainly be back for all tailoring needs. Daniel tried on the pants and was shown a few different lengths of hem to choose from. They worked carefully and kindly, and the whole experience was top notch. We paid a very reasonable price and picked up the pants a few hours later. They fit perfectly and the stitching was flawless. Five star service and experience!!

The folks at Elegant Tailoring worked magic to save my mom's wedding dress. I can't recommend them highly enough!! I took my mom's dress here after having a horrible experience with a different tailor who ruined the bodice while trying to implement some alterations. The Elegant Tailoring team entirely rebuilt the bodice using material from the sleeves. Now, it's like brand new. It was so special to wear my mom's dress, to have it modernized, and to have it fit me like a glove. I am forever grateful to them for saving this dress.

Went in to repair a button hole of a coat that I have had for almost 10 years. The button hole went through a lot: the stitches were completely gone for a few years, then I tried to repair it by myself (but failed), then I removed my repair and had it repaired poorly by someone else. When I went to Elegant Tailoring And Alterations, the button hole needs to first have its poor prior repairs removed, then repaired by hand. The repair is beautifully done (see picture). I was not in a rush having it repaired and it was done within 3 days. Not cheap ($25), but it is my favorite coat, and again, I am happy with the quality of the repair, so I think it is worth it. Definitely recommend!

The zipper slide for the zipper of my Roxy ski jacket broke off after less than 2 seasons of use. They were so great to fix it for $20 in less than a week!

*Bring the broken zipper slide if you have this same issue, so that they can quickly get the correct zipper slide replacement piece! Grateful I brought my broken slide for them to reference.

Such a kind and great company for this repair. Highly recommend.

I had used this shop in the past and they had provided good service, but something happened and they've gone significantly down hill. I took in several shirts for relatively basic tailoring, and the alterations they supposedly did were almost non-existent. They certainly did not do what I asked, so I took them in again, and again they had done nothing. They asked me to come back in a few days, which I did. I came back, and again took the shirts home expecting that they finally altered the shirts like I had asked. I got home to find they had done nothing. I came in a final time, and the owner of the shop approached me in a hostile way, and when I calmly explained that the shirts had barely been touched, he flew into a rage, Yelled and threatened to call the police. A woman working there tried to intervene and asked how if she could help, but at this point I had been in 4 times, had been yelled at and demeaned, so I decided to cut my losses and take my business elsewhere. The level of unprofessionalism and lack of respect this shop owner exhibited was unbelievable. Not sure what changed with them, or if I had just been lucky the previous two visits, but I would avoid this shop at all cost.

So disappointed- read the whole thing! Disrespected and gaslit. Will not be returning or recommending... I went to Elegant Alterations because I needed a satin dress altered for a wedding. Packing for my trip, I noticed my dress had 3 stains. I had never worn this dress before and it had been hanging in my closet since I picked it up. I decided to take it to Elegant Alterations and politely ask if they knew what happened/what kinds of stains they were and how to get them out. They not only gaslit me, saying that it was MY fault for waiting to the last minute to pack, they ruined it even more when trying to "fix" it. The next day, I was scrambling to find a same day cleaners in LA. Luckily, I found one willing to have it ready 1 hour before the event. Each dry cleaners told me that I should NOT put water on satin/silk garments. When I returned home, I brought the receipt back to them and politely told them what the cleaners told me. They had other customers in their shop and waited until the majority were gone to serve me. As she was angrily writing out the check to reimburse me for my dry cleaning (as they said they would), the older male employee gaslit me, AGAIN, yelling at me that he's "a professional" and that they "did not do this." Once again blaming me. I responded by informing him, again, that I had never worn my dress and did not do anything to it. PS- the receipt from the cleaners was $22.65, she wrote me a check for $20. The way they treated me, a paying customer, was completely absurd and disrespectful. I will never go back to them and I will never recommend them to anyone.
