I would like to start off this review by saying, "Book that appointment asap, no rocky!" I wish I could rate this 10/10 stars, but I can't. Gloria braids all types of hair !

I am an 18 year old Afro-Latino living in Van Nuys, aka the valley, meaning there aren't many people that I know who braid in this area, besides friends or family.

However, since I'm 18 and don’t have a car at the moment, when I booked the appointment with Gloria, my only way of transportation was taking the metro. An inconvenience happened on my way to the appointment where I got lost in the metro, causing me to be a few minutes late to the appointment. Luckily, Gloria was so understanding of this, and my appointment went as planned. I thought I wasn’t going to get braided that day, lol.

When I walked in, Gloria greeted me, and automatically I felt like I had known her forever. I have nothing bad to say about my appointment, literally. Gloria constantly asked me if she was pulling my hair too much or if something hurt as she was braiding. Not once did I feel any kind of discomfort; she was very gentle. Gloria even offered me a bottle of water, and if I needed to use the restroom, I was free to do so. What I'm trying to say is that her customer service is 10/10.

To conclude, I would recommend Gloria to anyone; she really is the best of the best. My braids came out clean, and I could see that Gloria is very passionate about what she does and enjoys braiding hair. I would definitely go back again, even though it’s a long trip for me, but it’s definitely worth it!
