(Quality Work, Abhorrent Customer Service) - It is seldom that I write negative reviews, but it is imperative that I do so as a courtesy to other potential customers in order to avoid pitfalls. I recently purchased a suit at the K&G store in Aurora, Colorado and had $89 worth of alterations (to a $150 suit). The lady whom helped me (I presume one of the owners) measured to have the sleeve length shortened. She did not ask my preference... just measured and wrote up a ticket.

I picked up the suit a week later and felt the sleeves were too short by 1/2 inch., although the quality of the tailoring was good. She said they were exactly right and that I did not know what proper length was. I asked kindly to have them corrected by adding back 1/2 length. She responded with anger and disrespect, and had the audacity to charge me an additional $24 for her mistake (that she insisted was mine). She then proceeded to involve the store manager to take "her side" by convincing him the sleeve lengths were correct. A nearby employee agreed with my assessment that the sleeves were too short. She ignored this employee's remarks, and further insulted me saying my request would look "sloppy".

Long story short... The store manager took ownership of this situation by having another member of the tailoring staff correct the sleeve length at no additional charge, and had it ready the next day. I appreciate the manager treating me with courtesy and respect, unlike the experience from the tailoring staff member.

I encourage you to advocate for yourself being VERY SPECIFIC with your requests of exactly how you want your alterations. Take pictures and get everything in writing.

I requested that they hem a dress for me, they left the back too long and attached the sheer cover to the slit causing a dimple in the fabric.

Went into store to drop something off at the tailor shop. Was greeted at the door by cashier, walked backed to tailor shop, another employee asked if I needed help. Told her I needed to see the tailor, she dinged the bell and let the tailor know she had a customer. After about 5 minutes she came back and asked if I was helped, told her no, she went in again and told the tailor she had a customer. Again she didnt come out or even acknowledge me. So after another 5 minutes I left. Told the cashier up font that apparently she's to busy to help me, and left. Cashier apologised for her rudeness. Staff great....tailor..would never use her.

If you want to charge a rush fee for less than a week than don't have a sign that says you charge it for "within 3 days"
