I'm not a big "reviewer" but finding a good seamstress/tailor is nearly impossible, so I'm sharing my experience for others. I took a dinner jacket in to have a few adjustments; I even puchased two different sizes to streamline the alteration process. The lady working when I went in initially was a TERRIBLE communicator; I felt like I knew more about tailoring than she did. I opted to pay an extra $30 for expedited services, given the exact turnaround time was unclear, and the garment was ready within a couple days. However, when I picked up the jacket, I was required to pay $50 extra than the initial quote ($80 vs. $130), which was a big surprise. When I inquired, the owner Nikki, seemed unbothered by the situation, and simply said the collar adjustment was not on the initial invoice (...not my fault). Fortantely, I had enough cash on hand (FYI - they do not accept cards, which is absurd to me given the prices are expensive; in fact, the customer before me had to count out $300+ for wedding dress alterations). Given the poor communication both during the consultation and regarding the invoice, I will not take any garments here for alternations in the future.

I purchased a toboggan hat at a vintage store. It has a gaping hole in it. She mended it and can't tell there was ever anything wrong with it. Did it cost three times the the original price of the hat? Yep. The hat is that awesome.

I've had a bridesmaid dress and two pairs of Levi jeans tailored here. You get what you pay for--it is pricy but worth it! Great work by professionals who know what they're doing. Each item felt so good to wear once I had it tailored by them.

I’m so glad I came here to have my wedding dress altered! There was a lot of work that needed to be done on the bodice part of the dress and I felt taken care of through the whole process. Thank you so much!

I was referred here to have shoulders taken in on a dress I’ll be wearing to a wedding and truly cannot say enough good things about this establishment. To begin, my dress was not anything expensive as it did come from Amazon but, it was pretty well made which is the only reason I considered paying for a slight alteration. Nicki was fabulous and helped me try on my dress to see how much needed to be taken in. She even snugged it up a bit more just to be on the safe side which I appreciated. I’m sure she could tell it wasn’t anything super expensive but she still handled it with care. The turn around time was two weeks which I thought was fairly fast. When I picked up the dress I couldn’t even tell where it was taken in but when I tried it on I could definitely tell it had been done. It fit perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. They are a cash or check only establishment but make you aware of that when you come in so it’s not a surprise at pick up but I honestly didn’t mind that. If I have anything else in the future that needs to be altered, this will be the only place I’ll go.

Took a dress in for minor alterations and was quoted a price way higher than I was expecting. I gave them my budget which was a bit lower than the quote, and they still went over the maximum I gave them. Found out a bunch of people I know do alterations and when I told them how much I paid they were shocked and said it was way too much.... Which I did feel like it was. And the lady working there consistently made me feel like I was bothering her for patronizing their business. Their work was good but the price and customer service made me decide to go somewhere else next time.

Not only have I had the opportunity to experience a job well done in making alterations to my husbands' clothes, I have referred numerous friends who can't thank me enough for being able to save their favorite clothing item versus buying a new one. Keep up the amazing work Expert Alterations!!!!

I absolutely adore Expert Alterations! I used them for the alterations to my wedding gown (which were quite extensive), and they did an incredible job. They were timely, efficient, capable, communicative, helpful, and really helped my vision come to life. I changed a lot about my gown's hemline, neckline, sleeves, fit, etc. but they did it all perfectly. I loved the final result. They also altered a dress and pants for my mom, and they did an amazing job with that as well. They really are incredible! 10/10 would recommend for any altering needs!
