What went well: Alterations are done at a high quality — clothing looks untouched! Super happy with them.

What could have been better: I feel the price was far too high. I had an elastic removed from a shirt and a patch removed from a cardigan and paid $43. Granted, I did not ask for a quote beforehand, so that’s partly on me. However, after some research, that price feels unreasonable. I also had some trouble communicating with the woman who helped me in the fitting room before leaving my pieces, but she was very nice and patient.

Overall, high quality service but I feel it’s overpriced.

Here's a little different twist: I took a high-end motorcycle jacket to these folks to be altered (made bigger) and for zipper replacement. First, they delivered about a week before they estimated, and the alterations look so like the original that I'm likely the only one who will ever know. The cost was not inexpensive, but high quality seldom is. Many thanks for a difficult request fulfilled with great skill.

Called to get an estimate on a zipper replacement and was quoted a price that was higher than competition but fair enough so decided to go with them since they were just around the corner. Dropped off my jacket and reviewed what I expected in terms of the type of zipper, color, etc. Was told it would take about 10-14 days. We were on the same page when I left.

2 weeks later they sent me a picture of the zipper to let me know the wrong one was sent and they had to reorder and it will take "a few more days" that's not a problem. Another week or so goes by and my jacket is ready.

When I arrived to pick it up they had used the wrong size zipper, the one I specifically said NOT to use. This is extra annoying because the "wrong" zipper they sent me a picture of was closer to the correct zipper we agreed would be used. I double check to make sure the jacket will still function the way I want, it does, so I let the zipper size thing go as it's not as big of an issue as I was concerned about.

At the register to pay she asks for DOUBLE what she quoted me on the phone - $70! When I confront her on this she held up her copy of the hand written receipt and says, "No, I wrote it down before you left." I took out my copy (the carbon copy that nobody physically wrote on) and showed her no price was written on the receipt before I left the store when I dropped off the jacket. She wouldn't even admit that she was lying about writing the price after I left, despite being caught red handed.

So in summary: they used the wrong zipper, it took way longer than they said it would, and they charged me double for the inconvenience. Nice lady but she is anything but honest or trustworthy, use at your own risk!

Victoria is absolutely the very finest. My husband and I started coming to Fashion Alterations before she was the owner and where we first noticed how outstanding she is. Not only is she an emphatic individual; she is unbelievably talented being able to work on the most complicated alteration, or on just something very personal and simple. What a gem to have her in this town. She is worth traveling to from even a long distance for one will never be disappointed.

Victoria Cundiff has been doing excellent work for my wife and me for decades. No job is too little or too big for her and her crew. They just replaced the zipper on my favorite pullover.
Several years ago I took in an expensive suit that was in good condition but the lining of the the jacket and pants had worn out. Today it looks like new inside and out and I don’t have to worry about losing my pocket change.
