I brought my dress in for some alterations. We discussed everything I wanted and she marked the dress and I thought we were on the same page. I wanted the hood rounded off, a deep V neck line, lined in the red, the red part of the sleeve shortened leaving the black sleeves long. A random seam removed and some extra loops removed. They had my dress for over a week. I picked it up today and it was absolutely ruined. The seam was not removed, the loops just cut off, the red and black part of the sleeves shortened and on the left sleeve the black is even shorter than the red. The V was filled with fabric not a cut out. And what’s worse is it isn’t even centered and the seam is wonky. It is also smaller in the chest than when I brought it in because they cut out so much fabric. I still paid and took my dress with me. I couldn’t be more upset and now I have nothing to wear for my event tomorrow. Never again would I go here.

I was looking for a good tailor to fix a few blazers I have with lining issues on the inside of both of them. After looking at the reviews, I decided to choose Gassane. I've never had services done by them, but just by how nice and welcoming the owner and his wife were, I was very satisfied already! However, I wasn't given a price estimate before leaving. I'll update this review when I receive my blazers back.

I just got my blazers back, and they are fixed just like I requested! I feel like a family member every time I go here because of such wonderful hospitality! I also got them back at an amazing price, too! I'll always be coming here any time I need jackets or pants fixed or altered!!

Highly recommend! Professional, timely, friendly, family-run. So amazing to see a local business thriving. Right when you walk in you can tell Gassane Tailors is well loved and respected for a reason. I got a suit altered for a wedding - just plan ahead as it took ~ 2 weeks for my alterations. SO WORTH the wait. Look no further for your tailor and alteration needs!

I had made a review about this place and gave them only three stars because my pants were all hemmed to a length that if they were for anything but work I would been upset. The guy just struck me as a great guy so I took down my review as quickly as I put it up. Think no harm. The guy calls me very concerned with the work and if they could please fix it. I’m blown away on the true care he has for his workmanship. FIVE STARS ? are not enough to give this guy and his desire to keep his work reputable!!!!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I recently moved to Austin and needed a suit tailored on a very tight schedule for a wedding where I was a groomsman. My suit arrived late, and I only had a 1-day turnaround before I had to leave for the wedding. I walked into Gassane Tailors and was greeted warmly by Joseph and the rest of the staff as if I were a longtime customer.

When I tried on the suit, it didn’t fit me in any dimension. However, Joseph confidently assured me, ‘Since I have been in Austin, I have never told a customer that I can’t do it.’ True to his word, the very next day, I picked up the suit, and it fit me like a glove—just in time for the wedding. The price was also very fair, especially considering the rush order and the amount of work required.

Gassane Tailors will be my go-to for all tailoring needs as long as I’m in Austin.

Incredibly nice people. I can’t say that enough, they are the nicest guys you will meet. However the worksmanship was also among the most amateur. Maybe they had an apprentice do it? I see so many good reviews, have read they have a great client list, etc. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt but it wasn’t just one loose thread, it was the entire job (raise cuffs on a jacket). Didn’t knot off thread, lots of loose thread hanging. They sewed the button grommet into the cuff, etc. maybe they are more known for full suits and not for alterations? I noticed it when I went to pickup, and the pictures are after they “fixed” it. Again, super nice people so don’t want to give 1 star.

I needed to get a pair of jeans hemmed, so I called a bunch of places for estimates. Gassane Tailors offered the most affordable price at $15 (all the other places I called quoted me a price over $20). After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to check them out. I’m so happy I did! The owner is the sweetest man. I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I need something tailored.
