Luba tried to charge $120 to hem a dress. A different tailor down the street charged me $55 for the same thing. Very overpriced

Luba is a great tailor. I loved the work she did on my suit a couple years back.

She was very direct with what needed to be done and how much it would cost.

Luba is the best! I am so glad to have found this tremendously hard working old school woman. I had a barbecue cover that needed sewing and Luba did a great job repairing something that would have cost over $300 to replace. My son tools his suit to Luba for homecoming and she finished the tailoring in less than a week The world needs more Luba’s!

I really wanted to give Luba a break and a good rating ❤️ I have to agree with those who found her rude . I gave her 2 opportunities ! . I found her ways VERY ENTERTAINING because they are so unique to her personality. But I will NOT be returning . I paid in advance -as we all have to do ~ but both SIMPLE JOBS were VERY DELAYED . Fortunately, I was not in a hurry for them . Looking tonight for ANOTHER BUSINESS to hem a dress -UGH ?

Luba is awesome! She is very straight-forward which some people may not be accustomed to, but does great work and is quick. You will get exactly what you want/need in a price range that is accessible for most people.

I brought in a pair of jean shorts that needed a new zipper on 6/27/23 with a promised date of 7/7/23. After a few calls and requests to give her a few more days, I showed up around noon on 7/19 (the day I was told to “stop by anytime” to get them) and they still weren’t done. I was pretty irritated at this point and she went into a spiel about how busy she is. I left and she contacted me about 40 mins later to tell me that they were done. The original zipper was silver and the new one is gold and large.

I don’t agree with promising dates if you’re too busy to fulfill the orders. You also have to pay the total up front. Some people seem to have received great service, but I wouldn’t chance it if you want your things back quick - She’s choosy about what she tailors and when.

Luba did alternation of a pair pants and few dresses for me and fixed a zipper on my purse and her job was wonderful. Clothes now fits me perfectly and the purse works well. Everything was ready on time, and when I needed something urgently, she was able to do the work very quickly. Prices are very reasonable.
I was looking at the negative reviews and in response I can say – she has a very dry sense of humor that for some can sound rude, but for me just adds a little spice 🙂
