This place was pretty awful and they came highly recommended by Joseph A Bank where I bought the suit.

I drop off a men's suit for a tailor alteration for a job interview in a week. He promised me it would be ready in a week 5 pm before my interview.

I come back at 5 and he completely forgot about it. Lost it for 10 minutes and found it in the back tucked away. He apologized and promised it would be done at 5:30. I came back at 5:45 he was still not done. He then said 6 pm, he didn't finish it and hand it to me until 6:10. Meanwhile I'm still on the clock at work and super busy because I was promised when it would be ready.

In the end he charged me full price which was extremely high and offered zero compensation or discount to make it up.

Highly don't recommend them.

Customers BEWARE. Read BEFORE you go! I don't like to leave negative reviews unless absolutely necessary, but believe me, this business deserves what I'm about to write.

I first went to NC Custom Tailoring on March 23rd with 10 shirts to be shortened. I was told it would take 2 weeks but needed 2 of them for a trip from April 1 - April 8th. They accommodated that request and I went to pick those 2 up on March 31st. They were identical shirts but for the color and when I got home and tried them on they were 2 different lengths. Since I had left another 8 behind to be ready by April 10th I panicked and went back the next morning for a remeasure. NOTE: That shirt is still not done correctly a/o this review on April 28th. YES, you read that correctly. A full month to correct a shirt length.

I didn't go back to pick up the remainder of the shirts until Friday, April 12th, and was told the shirts I left behind on March 23rd were still not ready and to come back the following Tuesday. I asked to be called when they were ready so as to not make another trip for nothing. I WAS NEVER CALLED.

Instead, I went in today, April 28th, and was told that the 2 shirts left behind that needed to be redone (one was too long, one was too short) were STILL NOT DONE. Not only that, but another shirt was missing altogether and they can't find it.

Mind you, I am paying $15/shirt x 10 shirts, plus another 3 I brought in when coming to pick up the first 10. All you will get from the owner is an apology for their inadequacy. It is a SAD SAD business. Unorganized, unprofessional.

DO NOT GO THERE. I BEG YOU!

I just moved to Charlotte and As a shorter person 5’4”, pretty much any clothing item you buy needs alterations. I’ve been so quite a few and they just don’t seem to get it right. I decided to give NC Cusom Tailors a shot and I don’t know if it’s because the owner is shorter like me too or what but he got my pants perfect. Slimmed and tapered and he nailed it! Super fast turn around and extremely friendly people. Prices are reasonable as well for the quality you are getting. I just took my suits there and can’t wait to get them back. Highly recommended

I took three suits for alterations and they did an excellent job with no complaints. It fitted perfectly like I brought them from the store.
Because of their excellent service they seems to be a little busy so I highly recommend you give yourself a day or two when dropping of clothes.

I am taking the time to write this because I want to warn you about what you might face leaving your precious wardrobe in the hands of these so called experts. I have no doubt they can't handle they way around alterations however the issues I faced are more related to the service they provide. I never got my items in the day they promised they had them ready, they don't ask about what you want to get done on your clothes, they just assume they know and off course you will end up with stuff altered for their style which may not be yours. Like shorter hem just because "that is in style" or shorter arm length in a suit that was fitting perfectly and they had to later add fabric to make it longer again. So if you like to take the risk, go for it, they do great work, just hope it is what you wished for.
