Disappointed would be an understatement. I brought my wedding gown to Olga, based on the mostly-positive reviews seen online. She said it would be ready in four weeks (6 days before my event). We asked if she took appointments, to guarantee that we could be seen at that time, but she said no, and recommended we come at 9:00 when her shop opens.

On the agreed delivery date, we arrived at 9, and waited 15 minutes outside for Olga to show up. Upon entering, I told her I was back to pick up my bridal gown, and her response was "It is not ready. I was going to call you and ask you to come back on Wednesday [5 days from now] to get it". This meant my dress would not be ready until 2 days before the big day, which hardly left any margin for error, or further tweaks to be made, if needed.

When I expressed these concerns to Olga, she was less than empathetic, insisting it would not need further alterations at that time (which is impossible to guarantee). She then told us she had been "very upfront" about the vacation she was taking (which evidently delayed her, and which none of us recalled her mentioning at the time of drop-off), and argued that we had brought the dress to her 3 weeks ago, rather than 4 (which was debunked when we showed her the recorded date of our initial deposited check).

At this time, I asked if she would consider any kind of compensation or discount for the inconvenience, lack of communication, and delay. She disagreed with me that there was a delay, and gave me a curt "no".

By this point, I was extremely distraught and stressed, knowing the difficulty that lied ahead with finding a different tailor to complete multiple alterations on my gown, but ultimately decided it was worth leaving Olga's store with our deposit, and finding another provider who would stay true to their word.

Would not recommend entrusting tailoring services here, if you have any emotional or logistical stake in the game.

BRIDES BEWARE. We are so disappointed with our experience, especially after looking through such highly rated reviews we expected to be well taken care of and absolutely were not. My sister took her wedding dress in to be altered one month ago, on September 2nd. Olga does not make appointments, but told us to come back on Saturday September 30th- 6 days before my sister’s wedding, and to arrive when the shop opens because we couldn’t make an actual appointment. We arrived this morning and Olga didn’t arrive to open her shop until 9:15, then told us that she had not yet started on the dress and that we would need to come back later in the week to pick it up. She didn’t communicate with us to give us a heads up about the delay, wouldn’t offer a discount for the inconvenience and didn’t apologize for the stress she just caused my sister, on the week of her wedding. We took her dress with us, now are scrambling to find someone else, and want to warn anyone else before they make the same mistake we did.

Olga is the most talented and attention to detail person I know. Besides my clothing she altered my wedding dress to fit me perfectly, I couldn’t be happier with her work and prices. I have been going to her for years and would recommend Olga to everyone. She is the best!

was able to get in right away. Olga is very quick & honest- told me that if I was only going to wear a dress once, she would tailor it less ($30 vs $60!). excited to see how it turns out!

The quality of work is extremely high, the prices are also a bit high - but worth it. Olga is not an American, so just don't expect sugary sweetness- just culturally different. She's incredibly direct and the work is done quickly. Great spot.

0/5 stars!! Horrible attitude from Olga herself. I was told "can't you do this yourself?" and suggested that I could go elsewhere. The prices were ridiculous at $144 just to hem and adjust the straps of a dress, which turned out to be more than double the amount of the shop I went to next. I got a very strong feeling that she didn't want to help me. I was polite to her, so I totally couldn't understand why she was so extremely rude. I can't understand how she can possibly stay in business after that asinine behavior.

Today I picked up my suits that Olga had altered for me. Never in my life would I ever imagine those suits would look good on me. I was wrong. She did the impossible. I tired the suits on for the first time in a few weeks and I looked sharp. Her prices for altering are very reasonable. I will be coming back to her. She has earned my business.
