I have worked with Teresa for several years in regard to a 20-unit condominium association on Siesta Key in my capacity as a board member. During this time, she has been incredibly helpful with a Million Dollar project 6 years ago, all the way down to smaller less costly projects. As our building is over 50 years old, it needs a fair bit of TLC to keep it going. I can always count on Teresa to provide straightforward well thought out solutions/answers/etc. And, when it comes time to select and oversee contractor(s) there is never any question that she has our interest at heart in terms of assuring work is done as specified and that costs are managed per contract. I would highly recommend Teresa if you needed a very qualified engineer on your project.

We had a building permit given by the city. We're closing in a screened porch, plus new windows threw out the home. After we had everything done that the city said we needed done before our first inspection we called for the first inspection,They told us we needed a engineer print. We contacted Ms. Tool she informed us she charged 180.00 a hr. We were in a jam and agreed to her price. She wanted 1,600. Up front.
Ms Tool first talk to the city and they told her they messed up and should not of given us the permit so she needed to talk to the head man. She told us we were going to need a contractor to do the job and everything we had done would have to be taken down. This was before she had even saw what was done.
She sent over a contractor which said he shouldn't of come to see it before she saw it. She came over finally a week after him and told us everything needed to be taken down. The windows in the home were already in but she said the screw were the wrong ones. She said she would find out which once needed to be used. After a week she finally told me I should talk the people at pgt it would be easier if I found out.

After about a month and half she wanted another 1,500. Dollars nothing has changed. We tired getting her a couple of times to come over and listen to some ideas we had so we weren't having to tare down all the work and money away, but she refused until we gave her another check.
This is not all of the baloney we've dealt with but trying to shorten the story up.
Conclusion of the story we payed the women 1,600. And got nothing but head aches and a waste of time. This women will not work for you. She's in it for her own pocket.

Well it's been around 6 months and our sun room is finally done , with no help from Ms. Tools. All inspections are done and we didn't have to tear anything down. Our porch is know a beautiful sun room. This women did absolutely nothing for us except take $1,600. from us . My Mother and I did all the findings that she said she needed.

She wanted another $1,700. Before she would come back and look at our suggestions. And we asked for a print out of the work she had done , then wanted another $200. for that.

I would run so fast from this women. We found a architect from Bradenton and he only charged us $800. We had the prints in 2 weeks.

I would recommend avoiding Teresa Toole in any business arrangement. Despite discussing our project with her in detail, and in person at our property. Literally walking along the project location, repeating the same specific prerequisite need of ours... she failed to understand or care about our one and only request. We paid her $600.00 retainer fee believing that she understood what we needed, and with the expectation that we would be working with and completing this project with Teresa.

However, after months of trying to get her to get us what we asked for before doing anything else, she did everything but that. Then tried to charge us more money, still not having fulfilled our one and only request. We asked her to meet with us to discuss why she needed more money, and try to work out the disconnect, but she flat-out refused to meet with us until we paid the additional sum. At the point that she refused to work with us to move our project along, we asked her for our money back, but she refused to return it, still insisting we owed her the additional amount as well. We have to consider these funds stolen, as we received literally nothing of any value to us in exchange for our $600.00.

I would caution everyone about any business arrangement with Teresa. In our opinion, she cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

*In response to Teresa's accusation of us not wanting to pay for services... We refused to pay the additional amount, because she hadn't completed the one thing we needed before we could move forward with our project... That one thing was a basic drawing of a design concept that we could take to our partners, so that they could approve of the appearance before we could move forward. This is the thing we asked for in our first meeting. She said she understood what we needed during our meeting, but then demonstrated over the next several months that she either didn't understand, or didn't care. Then over the course of several emails, I tried to get her to meet with us to work out the disconnect between us and move forward, but she refused to meet with us unless we paid the additional amount. Until she refused to meet with us, we had every intention of paying the additional amount, as soon as we received what we asked for in the first place.*

I lost my 960 square foot home in the last storm called this business about a week or so after the storm she was all ready to over charge me for plans to rebuild it I had to save up to fix it I messaged her 2 weeks ago telling her I was ready to move forward no response

There is plenty of structural engineers there Teresa I’m glad you did not respond I am working with a company that is leaps and bounds better than your business you never offered to go and evaluate the property this is the first thing this other company is doing going to the property to evaluate it
