Super sweet lady, sloppy work. I brought my items in, I was provided a fast turn around time when asked.

Tried the pants on before leaving, they fit great so I left. It wasn’t until I was home ironing them to see the true work. Needless to say, after seeing crooked sewing, unfinished pant legs and stitching leftovers on my pants, I went back.

Since she works with my airliner and accepts vouchers, I asked for just the portion of the amount I had to pay as she still deserved something for the work she did. Initially she was very defensive and told me she wouldn’t refund anything, to bring the pants back and that she does lots of work for happy people and could do the same for me. I declined, again asked if she was refusing to refund me and she eventually flipped out her giant checkbook and wrote me a check. She also demanded my customer copy for the amount I paid, weird but I obliged.

Overall, super disappointing reaction from her and her husband when someone just wanted a refund. Her work was sloppy, I didn’t want her touching my pants anymore…she couldn’t even do it right the first time. She also charges $147 to alter 2 pairs of pants…it’s normal to assume the work is done right the first time given the price.

Very nice people who are making an amazing living providing a great service to the public. I highly recommend them. Please don’t ever give me them a hard time. It’s just two of them working the whole shop. I needed a tailor on the bottom of my dress pants and they finished within an hour. I’m glad I found them!

I bring all my alterations to The Custom House. The mending and alteration of clothing even includes my favorite Coach purse! The professionalism, of this family owned establishment, in both the craftmanship and customer service is impeccable. The affordability of such craftsmanship is an added bonus.

Brought the dress for my son's wedding for alterations. What the did completely ruined the bodice and lining. Cost me $200!
Have had to reorder a new dress. Might be good for a hem but that's all.

Just love Custom House. The owners are beyond helpful and accommodating. I’ve been taking everything from dance costumes to couture clothing to them for over 15 years. Everything they’ve done has been just right and on time. I just dropped off an outfit to wear for my son’s upcoming wedding and know it will be fabulous.
