No luggage carts available at check-in. Room doors are so heavy it took 2 of us to get in the room each time. Breakfast buffet was good. Good location with easy access to tourist activities, as well as day-to-day needs. Staff was very friendly.

Valaina was absolutely incredible! Her pleasant and inviting attitude was more than welcoming! Not only did she make this the very best experience, she made us feel like family! Charlene on the front desk in the evenings was wonderful as well. To ALL of the staff, from housekeeping to breakfast, you are all great at what you do. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Charleston!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly.||The bed and pillows were comfortable. Wifi and TV worked great. Not a really walkable neighborhood, but plenty of nearby places to eat or drink.||Would stay again if in the area for business.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. After our other hotel cancelled on us on our flight down, we looked into staying here. When we arrived here, they made accommodations for us to get into a room as soon as possible. Really shows the southern charm.

Whole hotel needs a significant refresh. I can even live with a worn but clean room. Our room was filthy. There were human hair balls on the floor in both the kitchen area and the bathroom. Dirty sponge on the elevator floor was present the whole 2 days I was there. We did not see any bugs —- and that would have been the dealbreaker for me. My companion went to the desk to purchase an ice cream from their mini-grocery area. The front desk staff was busy on their phone and didn’t stop to check him out to purchase the item. She shook her head at him when he said he wanted to purchase and shooed him away, even when he questioned her if she knew our room number. (Another guest was present during this exchange and my companion confirmed with the guest that he had been given the OK to take the ice cream.). Both of these service issues seem to be related to poor management of the property. We’ll go to a different property the next time we are in Charleston. This property did not live up to the Marriott brand ideals.

The hotel was nice, clean, and centrally located. I didn't have any issues, check-in and check out was easy. The only thing I would say is the breakfast room A/C and choices of food could have been better, but all in all it was a nice stay.

This Towneplace isn't the best hotel I've stayed at, but it certainly isn't the worst either. The rooms are definitely in need of some maintenance (my TV was broken), but it sufficed for the one night I was staying here. Cleaning staff did a great job. The staff here were all fantastic and super friendly. The free breakfast was pretty good quality. The Home2 nearby is definitely a bit better than this property.

The staff was great. The room was fine. The only problem is that 2 adults can have 15 kids with them who do whatever they want, including theft, drug use, and attempted fraud. There's no way 2 adults can supervise that many teenagers. We checked out early at 8 pm. and informed the staff why. The response was, "Oh, really, I understand...." still charged full rate because we were there until 8 pm. What a shame. Sorry guys, you probably should have at least offered some sort of compensation, considering how generous I was with all of you.
